Southwest China's Guizhou province showcased the latest big data achievements during the World Internet Conference & Light of the Internet Expo held on Nov 23-24 in Wuzhen, East China's Zhejiang province.

China's largest highway logistics online platform, Huochebang, was featured during the conference's opening ceremony. The program was developed by Guizhou's truck-hailing company Manbang Group.

It strives to improve China's freight logistics efficiency and serves as a platform for cargo owners and freight truck owners to communicate directly.

So far, the platform has 2.3 million drivers registered as members and 350,000 logistics company members that have released more than 5 million pieces of cargo information. It also has 1,000 offline service centers.

In the future, the platform will expand to cover a range of other businesses to improve China's highway logistics. These business areas include truck sales, used car trading, auto parts, as well as loans and insurance for trucks.

Guizhou is also a pioneer in big data trading and application. The province recently approved China's first regional law for big data industry development and is preparing to launch regional regulations for government data sharing and the establishment of a personal data service center.

The Global Big Data Exchange in Guiyang is a leading component in China's data trading security industry. It has been connected with over 1,000 government data sources and will strive to relieve government departments' concerns about data sharing and data asset operations.
