Guiyang technology division visits Guiyang University

A delegation from Guiyang Municipal Science and Technology Bureau, led by its Party chief Zhang Yu, visited Guiyang University on Dec 8 to learn about the university's efforts to elevate itself to the status of a qualified applied university of science and technology.

Leaders of the university, including its principal Xiang Shuwen and vice principals Liu Gang and Li Can, welcomed the delegation and attended a meeting to report on the university's current development.

Xiang Shuwen thanked the bureau for its support, and said that the university is exploring significant development opportunities, and that it will follow the local government's arrangements to develop the university into an applied university of science and technology in order to serve the development of big data and the digital economy.

Zhang Yu said that the bureau will launch a work team to help the university solve problems and issues and give strong support to the university in scientific and technological innovation, discipline construction and talent training, to ensure the strong implementation of the local government’s arrangements.
