Shale gas academician workstation launched in Guiyang

The shale gas academician workstation of the Guizhou Energy Industry Research Institute Co was unveiled in Guiyang, Southwest China's Guizhou province, on Oct 20, in a move to boost independent innovation and the commercialization of scientific and technological achievements in Guiyang.

The shale gas academician workstation will center on Dai Jinxing, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and his team, who will work to introduce and train more high-level talent for Guiyang and Guian, as well as promote the transformation and upgrading of the traditional energy industry.

Dai is a natural gas geology and geochemist, and has made a series of major achievements in the research of key national natural gas scientific and technological research projects.

Dai's team consists of six members, who are currently engaged in oil and gas exploration, oil and gas geochemistry, seismic petrophysics, oil and gas reservoir formation, and technical and economic evaluation.
