The Guiyang Cross-Border E-Commerce Youth Entrepreneurship and Innovation Competition was held in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, on April 12, with 33 competitors from 15 groups having participated in the final, which was broadcast via live stream, local media reported.

The competition aims to provide a platform for young people in the province who are interested in engaging in the cross-border e-commerce industry to show their skills, cultivate local e-commerce professionals, and bolster the field of cross-border e-commerce as a whole.

The final was divided into two stages: pre-competition preparation and live competition. The candidates were allowed to choose the product package and mentor through Picker Wheel, a fast and easy random picker program.

Each product package contains five products in three categories: makeup and skin care, childcare products and snack food. Contestants can study, analyze and examine the selected products through online or offline channels. On the eve of the live broadcast competition, the organizer held offline training at the Guanshanhu E-commerce Development Center in Guiyang to help the players prepare for the competition and improve their abilities.

In the final competition stage, contestants engaged in a real face-to-face confrontation. Each contestant (or group of contestants) was asked to conduct a full-process cross-border e-commerce live streaming display within eight minutes, including opening remarks, product display, live interaction, stimulated purchase intention, and after-sales service instructions.

The final competition was scored by the judges on the spot under the real-time supervision of the notary public. The winners were determined by comprehensive scoring, and all awards were announced on the same day.
