At the end of February, in the production workshop of Guizhou GC Innovation Technology Co in Guiyang city, Southwest China's Guizhou province, Li Yanlei, the company's vice general manager, told media that the company plans to invest 700 million yuan ($97.23 million) to initiate the construction of a new energy technology project.
This move aims to realize full industry chain aggregation and development from upstream aluminum processing to downstream production of high-value-added products.
GC is a large comprehensive enterprise that integrates the research, design, production, and sales of aluminum alloy home decor, new energy vehicle standard parts, photovoltaic power generation substrates, and various large-section industrial aluminum products.
Li mentioned that the company achieved a production value of 800 million yuan in 2023 and that it is expected to reach 900 million yuan in 2024. Currently, the company has orders worth nearly 250 million yuan, and its production plan is scheduled until the end of April.
In 2005, the predecessor of GC, Guizhou Huahai Doors and Windows Co, was established.
In less than 19 years, it has grown from a company specializing in aluminum alloy profile sales and aluminum door engineering to a national-level specialized and sophisticated "little giant" enterprise with mastery over multiple patented technologies.
The company's product range has expanded from a single coating variety to 11 product categories comprising a total of 30,000 product types, covering all general aluminum alloy building material products.
Li Haining, chairman of GC, stated that against the backdrop of vigorously promoting new industrialization and developing the province's digital economy, the company will continue to promote the construction and operation of related projects along the industrial chain. The goal is to achieve a production value of tens of billions of yuan by 2028.
