First Guiyang Sci-Tech Innovation City competition kicks off

The launch ceremony of the inaugural Guiyang Big Data Sci-Tech Innovation City Innovation & Application Competition was held on Nov 8 in Gui'an New Area.

The nationwide competition welcomes entries from big data, software information services, electronic information manufacturing, advanced equipment manufacturing, new energy vehicles, new materials, eco-specialty foods, healthcare, and emerging industries.

Project registration is open from Nov 8 to Dec 6. Qualification reviews will be completed by Dec 8. Then, from Dec 9 to 13, an online preliminary screening will select 30 outstanding projects for the finals. The final round is tentatively scheduled for late December, where the winners will be announced: one first-place prize, two second-place prizes, three third-place prizes, and five excellence awards.

Winners will receive monetary rewards and policy support. Projects landing in the Guiyang Big Data Sci-Tech Innovation City will be prioritized for investment evaluations by its venture capital fund and recommended for incubation at the Gui'an Industry Innovation Demonstration Base with comprehensive free services. Qualifying projects may also benefit from talent-related policies.

Huawei Cloud Computing Technology Co will also support outstanding participants with technical services, including commercial monetization opportunities, computing resources, and cloud technology enablement.
