Guiyang and Gui'an recognized at Guizhou Science and Technology Awards

On Nov 21, the Guizhou Science and Technology Conference and Awards Ceremony was held in Guiyang, during which 103 projects from Guiyang City and Gui'an New Area were recognized.

The 2023 Guizhou Science and Technology Awards honored 121 projects in total, granting 28 Natural Science Awards, five Technological Invention Awards, 86 Scientific and Technological Progress Awards, and two Science and Technology Cooperation Awards.

Projects from Guiyang and Gui'an represented 85 percent of the provincial award winners. They received one first prize, seven second prizes, and 14 third prizes in the Natural Science Award category; one first prize and three third prizes in the Technological Invention Award category; and seven first prizes, 21 second prizes, and 49 third prizes in the Scientific and Technological Progress Award category.

During the ceremony, several provincial officials presented awards to the representatives of the winning projects.

Speeches were delivered by representatives from Guizhou Qiansheng Guozi Co, the Guizhou Provincial Department of Science and Technology, the Guiyang Municipal People's Government, the National Key Laboratory for Efficient Utilization of Medium and Low-Grade Phosphate Ore and Associated Resources, as well as by distinguished researchers.
