In recent years, Guiyang City and Gui'an New Area have witnessed a surge in technological achievements. To ensure these innovations are effectively transformed into practical applications, the Guiyang bureau of science and technology launched the "Sci-tech Cloud" platform. Through this platform, sci-tech suppliers, demand-side entities, and service providers are able to achieve precise matches, enabling successful technology transfers and solving enterprise technical challenges.

One notable example is Guizhou Changtaiyuan Nano Calcium Technology Co, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Chang Tong Group specializing in the production of high-activity calcium oxide and nano-calcium carbonate. For over a decade, the company has focused on process technology research but has struggled with improving the quality of hydrated lime. The intervention of Wu Xiao, a technology manager on the "Sci-tech Cloud" platform and deputy director of the Achievement Transformation Center at Guizhou Material Industry Technology Research Institute, brought new hope for solving their technical problem.
Wu explained, "I registered my information on the 'Sci-tech Cloud' platform and submitted my research focuses and past successful cases. The platform, using my professional background, sent me relevant supply and demand-side information. One demand from Changtaiyuan caught my attention, as it perfectly aligned with Professor Huang Hongsheng's research at Guizhou Institute of Technology."
After thoroughly understanding the company's issues, Wu connected the enterprise's technical requirements and detailed improvement parameters with Huang. The company's need to improve the quality of its hydrated lime aligned well with Huang's research findings.
Huang Hongsheng, dean of the School of Chemical Engineering at Guizhou University of Technology, shared, "Considering cost issues, existing processes, and avoiding additional equipment, we developed a novel additive that ultimately achieved the desired goal."

Liu Bing, vice president of Innovation at Chang Tong Group, added, "With Huang's assistance, we enhanced key metrics such as the specific surface area and purity of hydrated lime, improving product quality and reducing costs for our downstream clients, aligning with our commitment to green and sustainable development."
The "Sci-tech Cloud" platform not only provides enterprises with technical solutions but also helps researchers decide what to focus on, deepening industry-academia collaboration. To date, the platform has recorded 654 registered enterprises, 53 technology managers, and 117 successful matches between supply and demand entities.
