On Jan 6, Guiyang City and Gui'an New Area initiated the "Four Cities Cup" Financial Empowerment and Innovation-Driven Competition, targeting high-quality projects nationwide.
The competition focuses on priority industries, including electronic information manufacturing and advanced equipment production, aiming to foster regional innovation and entrepreneurship.
The event seeks to attract outstanding projects, establish a sustainable selection and cultivation mechanism, and facilitate the landing of innovative enterprises. It serves as a critical step in advancing innovation-driven development, enhancing the entrepreneurial ecosystem, and boosting high-quality growth in Guiyang and Gui'an.
The competition comprises three main stages: project collection, evaluation, and finals, which are held semi-annually. For the first round, project submissions are from January to March, evaluations are from March to May, and the finals are in June. The second round will conclude in December.
During the collection phase, projects in big data, the low-altitude economy, and advanced manufacturing are prioritized, particularly those aligned with the development of the "Four Cities": Guizhou Science City, Guiyang Big Data and Scientific Innovation City, Huaxi University City, and Qingzhen Vocational Education City.
The competition is notable for its on-site expert and fund evaluation, which replaces traditional document submissions to reduce costs and improve efficiency, and its shift from large-scale trade fairs to precise, targeted business matchmaking.
The first round's registration runs until March 1 via the "Tech Cloud" platform, enabling teams to participate remotely.
