Opinions abound at Guiyang sci-tech exchange week

Over 300 guests across China explored the theme "Serving 'Four-City' Collaboration and Empowering Strong Provincial Development" at the Guizhou Science City Innovation and "Four Cities" Collaboration Week, which commenced in Guiyang on Jan 6.

Representatives from financial institutions introduced policies and products designed to empower tech enterprises. The Innovation Angel Fund, with a scale of 1 billion yuan ($136.4 million), targets early-stage tech companies to foster innovation and address market inefficiencies. Meanwhile, the Qianling Fund focuses on "hard tech" industries, aiming to establish Gui'an New Area as a hub for innovation and entrepreneurship.

Experts shared strategies for cultivating new industries and advancing technology commercialization. Key insights included using regional resources, breaking traditional economic models, and nurturing innovation ecosystems.

The "Four Cities" – Guizhou Science City, Guiyang Big Data and Scientific Innovation City, Huaxi University City, and Qingzhen Vocational Education City – highlighted their unique technological resources, from data services to vocational training, creating opportunities for industry-academia collaborations.

The Zhenhua Group Industrial Internet Platform Application Innovation Center addressed challenges faced by SMEs, offering solutions for digital integration and fostering a sustainable digital economy in Guizhou.
