Gui'an New Area accelerates intelligent computing development

The Gui'an New Area Optics Valley Union (OVU) Intelligent Computing Industrial Park in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, signed agreements with three companies in the first quarter of this year, with a planned investment of approximately 150 million yuan ($20.54 million).

The park is a benchmark project for the cooperation between Gui'an Development Group and OVU, striving to create a high-end, intelligent, and green computing industry cluster. Since its opening in September, the park has focused on the computing power, artificial intelligence (AI), and robotics industries, amping up efforts to attract investment.

Song Mingzhe, a representative of the industrial park, revealed that this year's newly signed companies are involved in data annotation, big data healthcare, and cultural tourism services. Attracting investment through existing enterprises is highly efficient, as these enterprises have experienced the favorable business environment and strong development prospects of Gui'an New Area.

To further develop the park and assist contracted enterprises, a full life-cycle service system was established to solve problems related to landing, decoration, and development. The park also targets key areas such as Wuhan, the Yangtze River Delta, and the Pearl River Delta, focusing on sub-sectors such as computing infrastructure, AI algorithm development, and intelligent equipment manufacturing to accelerate industrial agglomeration.

Song revealed that the park is now home to 20 new enterprises involved in cutting-edge fields. The utilization rate of the park's factory buildings now sits at 40 percent and is expected to reach 50 percent in the first half of the year.
