Since the beginning of this year, the Guiyang National High-tech Industrial Development Zone has delivered 29 major technological breakthroughs and commercialization projects, with a total technology contract turnover of 1.25 billion yuan ($174.93 million).
Utilizing the opportunity to reshape and optimize the innovation platform system throughout Guizhou province, the zone organizes leading enterprises and key research institutes to integrate advantageous resources and build a high-level innovation platform based on the layout direction of innovation platforms such as key laboratories, technology innovation centers, and scientist workstations.
Focusing on important areas such as leading the development of service-oriented industries, promoting key technological breakthroughs, and optimizing regional innovation ecology, the zone promotes the coordinated development of industry, academy, and research, laying a solid foundation for improving the modernization level of the industrial system, enhancing the core competitiveness of industrial clusters, and promoting the formation of new quality productive forces.
Cooperating with universities is an important part of commercializing scientific and technological achievements. Relying on the zone's Graduate Practice Base, Tsinghua University and Shanghai Jiao Tong University have partnered with key enterprises to promote project cooperation in the construction of intelligent question answering systems, drone behavior monitoring, and aviation engine manufacturing technology, solving key technical problems and providing strong support for the technological upgrading and development of related industries.
The zone has also launched activities such as the Science and Technology Innovation and "Four Cities" Exchange Week, which has built a direct bridge for the transformation of regional achievements, attracting a group of enterprises and scientific research entities.
