Guizhou revises sci-tech award measures

The Guizhou Province Science and Technology Award Measures have been reviewed and approved by the 70th executive meeting of the Guizhou Provincial People's Government on Aug 20 and were implemented from Oct 1.

The measures aim to reward outstanding contributors to scientific and technological progress, inspire enthusiasm among science and technology workers, and provide institutional support for building a strong province with a distinct focus on science and technology.

To ensure the smooth implementation of the measures, the Guizhou Provincial Department of Science and Technology conducted publicity and provided explanations through multiple channels to help researchers, science and technology management departments, and the public understand the main content and changes of the measures.

The department refined nomination qualifications, award conditions, and procedures for handling objections and supervision, providing a solid operational basis for rewarding work. It organized training sessions for nominators, candidates, and evaluation experts to ensure they are familiar with the requirements of the measures and detailed rules, and to standardize subsequent nomination and evaluation work.

The department aims to foster an environment that promotes innovation and values talent through extensive publicity, inspiring scientific and technological professionals to engage in innovative research and development, and providing robust support for the high-quality growth of Guizhou's economy and society.
