Smart manufacturing drives Guiyang Hisense output goal

Guiyang Hisense Electronics Co (Guiyang Hisense), located in the Guiyang Economic and Technological Development Zone, is ramping up production to reach its annual output target of 10 billion yuan ($1.41 billion).

By integrating intelligent manufacturing with an efficient ecological supply chain, the company is achieving remarkable progress across all production stages – from manufacturing and quality control to logistics and delivery.

By shifting from "experience-driven" to "intelligent scheduling," Guiyang Hisense has built exceptionally flexible manufacturing capabilities. Its dynamic scheduling system enables rapid market response, reducing order processing time from 4 hours to just 30 minutes. Production line switching efficiency has also improved by 87 percent, ensuring seamless operations.

Automation now accounts for 57 percent of processes on the high-efficiency production lines, while the manufacturing execution system has increased overall equipment efficiency by 22 percent and reduced downtime by 40 percent, enabling six production lines to produce more than 17,000 TVs per day.

In quality inspection, traditional manual sampling has been replaced by an advanced artificial intelligence-based visual detection system capable of identifying defects as small as 0.1 mm with 99.5 percent accuracy, cutting labor costs by 70 percent and reducing total quality loss costs by 35 percent.

On the supply chain front, the company's "ecological synergy" model has boosted local sourcing from 30 percent to 83 percent, with delivery cycles for core materials shortened from one week to just two hours.

To meet strong fourth-quarter demand, Guiyang Hisense has increased manpower, expanded its vehicle fleet, and added temporary loading stations, boosting daily shipping capacity from 14,000 to 18,000 units – demonstrating the company's full-speed sprint toward its ambitious year-end target.
