The Guiyang National Hi-tech Industries Development Zone (HIDZ) made the list of "2025 Top 100 High-quality Development Industrial Parks", ranking 69th, and was the only park in Guizhou province to be shortlisted.
As the first national high-tech zone in Guizhou province, during the 14th Five-Year Plan period, Guiyang HIDZ focused on industry, science and technology, and talent, promoting new industrialization and developing new-quality productive forces. Its comprehensive strength ranking rose from 42nd in 2020 to 36th among national high-tech zones.
The zone has accelerated breakthroughs in technological innovation. Guizhou Science City has received approval to expand to 20.64 square kilometers, with two national key laboratories and one national expert service base approved, gathering 13 scientific and technological innovation platforms above the provincial level. The zone contains five national level incubators, accounting for 83.33 percent of the city's total.
More than 4,000 graduates from universities outside the province were promoted for employment and entrepreneurship, and over 11,000 new industrial talents were added. Since 2021, more than 1,300 high-level talents have been introduced, and a total of 191 high-end talents, such as city-level and above experts, have been cultivated.
