Guiyang holds CAS achievement event

The Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) Achievements Tour to Guizhou Event was held in Guiyang on Nov 21 to further promote the precise connection between high-level scientific and technological achievements and the needs of Guizhou's industrial development.

The event brought together representatives from government, industry, academia, and research, attracting more than 200 participants.

Through multiple sessions, including industry-academia-research cooperation agreements, policy promotion, and achievement releases, an efficient platform was established for the exchange and integration of scientific and technological achievements among research institutions, enterprises, and investment and financing institutions.

Nine teams from various research institutes of the CAS have introduced cutting-edge technologies, covering key areas such as resource utilization, new physical energy storage, artificial intelligence and industrial intelligence, biomedicine and general health, advanced materials, and green chemicals. These achievements closely align with the industrial development plan of Guizhou province, demonstrating the significant potential for technology to support high-quality development in Guizhou.

In recent years, Guizhou has made innovation central to its overall development, advancing technological progress to support industrial growth. In 2024, 164 universities and research institutes from outside the province partnered with Guizhou for scientific and technological cooperation, while 179 academicians from the CAS and Chinese Academy of Engineering visited for technical guidance, strategic consulting, and academic exchanges.

The event is not only a showcase of achievements, but also a significant cultivation of cooperation, building a solid bridge between the cutting-edge technology of the CAS and Guizhou's industrial base. It demonstrates that cooperation between the academy and local governments will yield even greater results, continuously contributing scientific and technological strength to Guizhou's high-quality development.
