Guiyang integrates innovation with industrial development

Since the start of the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-25), Guiyang Economic and Technological Development Zone has promoted the close integration of scientific and technological innovation with industrial development. A total of 50 industry-academia-research projects have been approved by science and technology departments at or above the municipal level.

The zone has been increasing investment in scientific and technological innovation, introducing policies and measures such as the "10 Measures for Science and Technology Innovation", improving the system and mechanism of scientific and technological innovation, and creating a favorable policy and service environment for industry-academia-research cooperation.

The zone has also signed strategic cooperation agreements with provincial universities such as Guizhou University, the Guizhou Institute of Technology, and Guizhou Normal University, promoting close cooperation between universities and enterprises in project cooperation, the transformation of research achievements into real-world applications, platform construction, and other areas.

By building an efficient platform and promoting local cooperation, the cooperation between enterprises in the zone has achieved substantial progress in key technological breakthroughs, high-end talent attraction and training, and construction of innovation platforms.

A number of industry-academia-research projects have been approved by science and technology departments, with some winning the Guizhou Provincial Science and Technology Award, solving technical bottlenecks encountered in enterprise scientific and technological innovation, promoting the transformation and application of sci-tech achievements, and promoting the high-quality development of the manufacturing industry.
