Guizhou Changjiang Automobile, an automobile manufacturing company based in Gui'an New Area, delivered its first batch of new energy off-road wide-body dump trucks to local customers in December 2025.
The trucks mark a breakthrough for the company in the research and development of new energy mining equipment, helping mining areas in Guizhou province transition toward smart green development.

Guizhou is home to an abundance of mineral resources, with the mining areas mostly located in karst landform areas, resulting in complex terrain and harsh working conditions for mining equipment.
The new energy wide-body dump truck was developed to address such issues. It adopts a reinforced chassis design, which enhances its resistance to bumps and rollovers, and is equipped with CATL battery packs and multiple intelligent safety systems to ensure all-weather operation and safety under rough road conditions.
The vehicle delivers zero emissions, low noise, and significantly lower operating costs, with a maximum speed of 40 kilometers per hour, making it highly effective for use in mining areas.

In certain scenarios, the vehicle uses up to 25 percent less power in field operations than similar products. With its ultra-high discharge efficiency, it reduces operating costs by 60 percent per kilometer compared to traditional diesel vehicles.
"We can complete an order within 15 days, and the workshop can finish assembling a light truck within 4 minutes," said Jin Liang, a company representative. The increase in efficiency led to a major leap in production capacity. In 2024, the company produced 9,199 complete vehicles, while in 2025, this number soared to 14,700, a year-on-year increase of 76.17 percent.

Relying on its solid production capabilities, the company has expanded its operations to over 20 provinces and regions across the country, including Guangdong, Zhejiang, and Jiangsu, and has entered overseas markets such as Southeast Asia and South America.
It will continue to increase investment in research and development, focusing on cutting-edge fields such as intelligent driving and lightweight development, while striving to provide smarter, greener, and more sustainable transportation solutions for global customers.
