Guiyang HIDZ achieves 2.57b yuan tech contract turnover in 2025

In 2025, the Guiyang National High-tech Industrial Development Zone (Guiyang HIDZ) focused on three key areas – industry, technology, and talent – achieving an annual technology contract turnover of 2.57 billion yuan ($3.72 billion) and providing robust technological support for the region's development.

Innovation in the zone is powered by its thriving enterprises. Guiyang HIDZ has implemented a tiered cultivation system for high-quality enterprises, forming a well-structured ecosystem of innovative companies. The proportion of technology-based and innovation-driven small and medium-sized enterprises within the zone is among the highest at both the provincial and municipal levels, driving breakthroughs in fields such as core aviation engine components and solid-state battery materials.

Guiyang HIDZ has deepened its collaboration with top universities, such as Tsinghua University and Shanghai Jiao Tong University, by carrying out numerous industry-academia-research projects and attracting research institutes. The zone has also prioritized the development of high-level innovation platforms, upgrading and establishing national and provincial key laboratories and technology innovation centers.
