The shipment ceremony for the first batch of community delivery AI robots by Guizhou-based Rongyun Innovation Technology Co (Rongyun) was held in Guiyang National High-tech Industrial Development Zone on March 9, with six robots scheduled for delivery to Malaysia and Singapore, marking the first time Guizhou province has achieved large-scale exportation of community delivery robots.
These community delivery robots are Rongyun's core products and represent their first venture into overseas markets. Upon receiving commands, the robots can autonomously plan routes, navigate through communities, and avoid pedestrians and vehicles. They can also control access gates, call elevators, and perform fully unmanned deliveries.
Whether on flat ground, speed bumps, or transitioning between indoor and outdoor environments, their self-developed six-wheel intelligent active chassis and electronic suspension systems ensure stable operation. This capability of extending autonomous driving technology from wide-open roads to the intricate, complex settings of community environments forms the company's core technological advantage.
Through full-stack in-house development that integrates hardware and software, the company can keep the cost of its robots at 30 percent of similar products on the market. Its newly developed two-wheel delivery robot – the first of its kind in AI robotics – has achieved a breakthrough price point of under 20,000 yuan ($2,910).
These delivery robots mark an industry first, with their technological and cost advantages attracting proactive partnerships from Southeast Asian AI organizations. From a small office in Guizhou Science City to the connection with the Southeast Asian market, this young team is utilizing technological innovation, showcasing "Made in Guizhou" products to the world.
