Guizhou-made robot company targets annual output of 10,000

VMR Technology Co (VMR) is an intelligent robot manufacturing company in Gui'an New Area. On March 14, 150 customized autonomous mobile robots were produced in the company’s workshop, and will be delivered to a new energy vehicle manufacturing company in April.

In the testing area, robots were put through a series of trials, including full-load bump tests, obstacle avoidance during deceleration, and precise docking at designated points. Wang Bing stated that the product supports 360-degree obstacle recognition with precise positioning and a broad field of view. Each robot undergoes multiple rigorous tests. The entire production line is operating at full speed to meet deadlines.

Since the launch of its first robot in January 2025, VMR has been tackling technological challenges and accelerating production, supplying over 2,000 robots to sectors such as automotive manufacturing and 3C electronics. The company aims to produce 10,000 robots this year.

Focusing on the combination of robots and computing power, the Gui'an Robotics Innovation Industrial Park has attracted 11 robotics and supporting enterprises. The park is planning to construct a robotics data acquisition center to build an ecosystem for the robotics and digital industries. It aims to surpass an industrial output value of 100 million yuan ($14.54 million) this year, enabling Guizhou's smart robots to reach more markets, and establish a new regional hub for the robotics industry.
