The third Guizhou Science City Technology Innovation and "Four-City Synergy" Exchange Week kicked off at Guizhou Science City International Conference Center on March 25.
The event was inaugurated by Wang Hong, mayor of Guiyang city, who announced its official launch. Participants included experts, academicians, and representatives from universities across China. Officials from Guizhou's Department of Science and Technology and the Department of Education delivered speeches.
Wang emphasized that Guiyang City and Gui'an New Area are strengthening their technological innovation systems and improving the "Four-City Synergy" mechanism (Guizhou Science City, Guiyang Big Data Innovation City, Huaxi University Town, Qingzhen Vocational Education Town) to foster deeper integration between scientific and industrial innovation.
He urged all parties to focus on key industrial clusters, deepen research collaboration, accelerate technology commercialization, and nurture talent. Wang also assured that Guiyang and Gui'an will continue to optimize the business environment and provide strong support for all innovation stakeholders.
The opening ceremony featured project presentations and centralized signing events. Guests also visited the technology achievement exhibition prior to the ceremony. The event included sections on exhibitions, supply-demand matchmaking, and talent exchange. It aims to integrate resources from government, industry, academia, research institutions, and finance to promote coordinated regional development in science and innovation.
