The 2026 International Conference on the Cooperation and Integration of Industry, Education, Research and Application Collaboration (Guizhou) and the Data Science Application Sub-Forum were held at the permanent venue of the China-ASEAN Education Cooperation Week on July 28.
Nearly 100 experts, university representatives, and corporate delegates from around the world attended the event. The conference was guided by the Ministry of Education, hosted by the Guizhou Provincial Department of Education, and organized by Guizhou University of Finance and Economics.
During the conference, two major industry-academia-research successes were announced:
The designation of Guizhou University of Finance and Economics as a priority Huawei ICT Academy, signaling its collaboration with Huawei to co-develop ICT-related curricula and training systems aimed at cultivating talent needed in economics, management, and the ICT industry.
The unveiling of the "Data Connector" innovation developed by Guizhou University of Finance and Economics. This product complies with the national standard for trusted data space technological architecture and integrates the Model Context Protocol (MCP), enabling AI models to autonomously retrieve cross-organizational data and resolve data silos.
The sub-forum featured nine keynote speeches covering topics such as data sector upgrading, AI-driven public administration, digital talent cultivation, China-Vietnam educational collaboration, regional cooperation in digital trade and commerce, and the emerging productive forces in manufacturing.
The event brought together global resources from science, education, and industry to foster localized collaboration between industry, academia, and research while advancing China-ASEAN exchanges in the digital domain.
