Guiyang, the capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province, ranked 24th for innovation capability among 72 national innovation-oriented cities.
A series of scientific and technological innovation and entrepreneurship activities -- called Zhu Chuang Hui -- kicked off on Dec 16 in Guizhou University in Guiyang, capital city of China's Southwest Guizhou province, according to local officials.
Guiyang's National Engineering Laboratory for Big Data Application on Improving Government Governance Capabilities, which is the first of its kind in China, was recently completed and approved to open.
